Genco Gülan’s work moves across media while remaining grounded in ideas as the driving force of production.

Media and Approaches

• Ceramics: conceptual pieces and references to Picasso, Sumerian, Mycenaean and prehistoric cultures; including Dancing Together (2023) and Ceramics for Tears (2022).
• Conceptual, installation and interdisciplinary art: site- and context-specific projects, including underwater, aerial and public interventions.
• Drawing, painting and photography: completed works made through digital sketching, alternative materials, abstraction, portraiture, landscape and photographic series.
• Sculpture, performance and media art: works engaging mythology, robotics, new media, theatre and live action.

Further work spans architecture, music, public art and bio art. The artist’s gift-shop project is conceived as an evolving work in progress.
