Ceramics

Genco Gulan began working with clay in the Boğaziçi University Art Club. His early ceramic work was a personal practice; recent pieces move toward conceptual forms and appropriations, drawing on Picasso as well as Sumerian, Mycenaean and prehistoric cultures.

His pottery has appeared in Dancing Together at Tri-bowl Art Center, Seoul (2023), and Ceramics for Tears (2022), staged around the Temple of Zeus at Magnesia. A contemporary ceramic tablet poem is held in the Korfmann Library, Çanakkale.
